Parent Q&A

What is the CCPA?

The Cannons Creek Parents’ Association — a team of volunteer parents and guardians who work alongside the school to build community, support initiatives and organise events. We’re not the school administration; we’re parents working on behalf of the parent community.

We build connection between parents, support communication with the school, organise social and fundraising events, coordinate the Class Rep network, support sport and school culture, and raise funds that get reinvested into the learner experience.

Straight back into initiatives that improve the learner experience at Cannons Creek. CCPA fundraising is separate from school fees and development levies. We’re committed to showing the full picture: money raised → money spent → impact created. See our Fundraising & Impact page.

Visit our Second-Hand Uniform Shop page for how to buy, how to donate, opening details and contact information. Good-quality uniforms at gentle prices, with less waste.

We aim for one community event every term. Our Events page always has what’s coming up next — a Quiz Night is next on the calendar, with the Padel Tournament set to return annually.

Our Contact page routes you to the right person by topic — events, Class Reps, uniforms, finance, communications, sport, traffic or general enquiries — so you’re never stuck with one generic inbox.

Class Reps are the connection point between parents, teachers and the CCPA within each grade. If you enjoy bringing people together, head to Class Reps or our Get Involved page to put your hand up.

We’ve been working with the school to improve sport communication, with a focus on more regular updates through Sportivo. We also help grow the culture and gees around Cannons sport — attending, supporting teams and celebrating achievements.

Every bit helps. Ten minutes? Share an idea or answer a survey. An hour? Help at an event. Got a skill? Volunteer it. Want a regular role? Become a Class Rep. See Get Involved.

The Annual General Meeting is where we report back on what the CCPA has done, where the money went, what’s improved and what’s next — and where you get a say. It’s written and run for normal parents, not just committee members.
